The point
A card gives you four lines. A toast gives you three minutes and everyone is holding a drink. Meanwhile the actual person is made of small, specific things: the phrase they always say, the thing they’re ridiculous about, the year everything went sideways and they got through it anyway. Most of that never gets said out loud to the person it’s about.
Some of these songs are heavy. More of them are funny. A song holds either one, and a song gets played again. Years later it’s still on somebody’s phone, and the person in it is still in the room.

The process
We talk for twenty or thirty minutes about how you met them, what they’re impossible about, the story your family tells every single time. Then I write. A song carries about six specific things well and twenty badly, and choosing which six is most of the work. I write the lyrics with Claude and produce the recording with Suno, which is why this costs what a normal person can pay instead of a studio commission. Then you tell me what’s wrong and we fix it until it’s right.
